The Tesla Cybertruck has been available in North America for several months, which has prompted content creators to take separate sides in debates about the electric truck.
For example, one creator posted a video explaining why the Cybertruck is “the perfect mom and family car.” This person then showed off some of their favorite details, such as the storage space in the bed, the tonneau cover, the legroom, the purse tray, and the “hidden door” in the dashboard.
A different content creator issued their response on TikTok. Their video included a seven-seat Volkswagen Atlas SUV. Every time the first content creator showed off a feature of the Cybertruck, the second creator showed how her VW offered the same features.
The closing statement from the first content creator was that “you look like a total bada** driving your kids around” in the Tesla Cybertruck.
The second content creator did not agree, saying “When you become a parent, no one thinks you’re a bada**. In fact, my kids tell me I’m cringe every day.”
Joking videos aside, there is no doubt that the Cybertruck has split consumers.
Some people have been vocal about their dislike of the electric vehicle’s design while comparing its visual style to a dumpster, a DeLorean, or even a Pontiac Aztek.
Supporters of the Cybertruck’s look have been just as vocal. Some have purchased the electric vehicle and customized it. This list includes Kid Rock, who has a General Lee-inspired Cybertruck, and rapper Lil Baby.
This debate has only continued as more consumers have purchased the Cybertruck and driven it around “out in the wild.” However, the discussion has also expanded to focus on off-road capabilities, the size of the truck bed, and even windshield wipers.
