John Newby is a writer who got his start covering college and professional football, but he quickly found his passion in NASCAR and the automotive world.
He covered big-time stock car racing for PopCulture, Heavy, Inc., and NBC Sports before calling AltDriver home.
During his career, he's had the opportunity to interview a variety of prominent figures including Kurt Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chase Elliott, Denny Hamlin, Mike Joy, Dax Shepard, Jethro Bovingdon, and Kyle Busch.
He currently lives in Huntersville, NC, with his wife, two cats and a Blue Heeler.
