The Toyota Tundra lineup is undergoing some changes for the 2026 model year. The full-size pickup now boasts a larger fuel tank and an upgraded interior among other updates.

According to a press release, every Tundra grade in the lineup will now come standard with a 32.2-gallon fuel tank. This eliminates the smaller tank that previously appeared in some models.

Additionally, Toyota made standard a tow hitch and 7/4 pin connector. This even includes the base SR grade of the truck lineup.

Also available for the 2026 model year is the new TRD Pro-exclusive exterior color, Wave Maker. The TRD Pro grade also has available the ISO Dynamic Seats to improve comfort while out on the trails.

The interior upgrades also include new Shale Premium Textured leather-trimmed seats in the Capstone grade. All double cab models of the Tundra will now feature air vents on the rear center console. This will benefit those who have children or pets in the back seat during those hot summer months.

The 2026 Toyota Tundra lineup features numerous options based on the respective grades. In terms of powertrains, customers have access to two options.

The first powertrain option is the i-FORCE, twin-turbo V6 using DOHC 24-valve cylinder heads and Dual VVTi systems. This boasts 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft. of torque. Toyota paired it with a 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission.

The second powertrain option is the i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain with 437 net combined horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain also pairs with the 10-speed transmission.

This 10-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission includes a sequential shift mode and tow/haul driving modes for those heading to the job site or outdoor adventures.

Those who purchase the TRD Pro or the TRD Off-Road package for another grade will have access to a slew of off-road modes. They will have a Multi-Terrain Monitor providing views of the surrounding terrain through the camera system. They will have an electronically locking rear differential to help provide traction when 4WD Low is engaged.

The off-road modes also include Crawl Control functions and Downhill Assist Control to help drivers navigating steep terrain. Multi-Terrain Select gives the driver further control and reduced wheelspin in a variety of settings.
