Toyota has added a new trim level to the 2025 Sequoia SUV, one that includes multiple interior upgrades.
According to a press release, 2025 marks the first time that the 1794 grade is available on the Sequoia. This grade includes real American walnut wood grain interior trim, unique leather-trimmed heated seats, and leather-trimmed ventilated massaging front seats.
The vehicle grade also has 1794 badging. The SUV sits on 20-inch alloy wheels. It features a panoramic roof, a tow tech package, and second-row captain’s chairs.
The 1794 grade — as well as the Platinum and Capstone grades — also include standard massaging seats for the front-row passengers. These seats feature massage options for upper and lower body massage with a range of intensities. The controls are part of the 14-inch multimedia touchscreen.
This luxury grade draws inspiration from Texas, the state where assembly takes place. 1794 is the year a ranch near San Antonio was established. This land is now where the plant that produces the Tundra and Sequoia sits.
Every Sequoia comes standard with a twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine
The Sequoia is a large, three-row SUV built for off-road adventures and urban exploration alike. As such, it requires a significant amount of power.
According to the press release, all of the 2025 Sequoia grades come standard with a twin-turbo V6 hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain. This powertrain produces 437 horsepower and 583 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Toyota SUV offers a maximum of 9,520-pound towing capacity for boats, RVs, or other heavy items. The tow tech package, standard on the 1794 grade, includes a Trailer Backup Guide. It has Straight Path Assist, which has the goal of keeping the trailer straight when backing up.
Toyota has not yet provided pricing information for the 1794 grade of the Sequoia.
