Fans of the “Overwatch 2” video game are running out of time to snag a special Porsche bundle including custom skins for characters D.Va and Pharah.
This limited-edition bundle, which went on sale in mid-May, will only be available as in-game purchase through June 3.
The D.Va bundle includes a skin inspired by the new all-electric Macan, the Test Drive highlight intro, the Night Drive name card, the Porsche D.Va player icon, and Sweet Ride spray. This D.Va bundle costs 2,500 Overwatch Coins — the in-game currency.
The Phara Porsche bundle (2,300 Overwatch Coins) includes a skin inspired by the new Taycan. It also includes the Porsche Flight name card and Porsche Pharah player icon.
Each character skin is available separately for 1,900 Overwatch coins. Alternatively, the Porsche Mega Bundle includes all of the aforementioned items for 3,400 Overwatch Coins.
Blizzard Entertainment, the developer of the first-person multiplayer shooter, sells Overwatch Coins in bundles through its Battle.net store. The price for 500 coins is $4.99 and the price for 1,000 coins is $9.99. The price increases with larger bundles.
Porsche and Blizzard Entertainment announced the collaboration in March
The Porsche/”Overwatch 2″ crossover has been in the works for a considerable amount of time as the two companies prepared for the launch.
Porsche and Blizzard Entertainment made the crossover announcement in March at South by Southwest. The stated goal was to share the Porsche brand with the diverse “Overwatch” fanbase. Porsche and Blizzard also focused on the broader gaming audience.
“One of the core values of ‘Overwatch’ is designing our Heroes to be representations of our players, proud and unabashedly themselves, and that is true of Porsche,” said Kim Centeno, VP of Marketing for “Overwatch,” in a statement.
“To work with a brand that is cutting edge, recognized for their quality and excellence, and has such beautiful designs, felt like the perfect fit to the optimistic future of ‘Overwatch 2.’”
The release of the bundle is not the only part of the collaboration. Porsche and Blizzard Entertainment will also join forces for a booth at Gamescom in August. Gamescom is the world’s largest video game trade fair, and it takes place in Cologne, Germany, August 21-25.
