Stellantis may have discontinued the Ram 1500 Classic, but the automaker is not giving up on pickup enthusiasts. The company is reviving the Ram 1500 Express while trying to combine attitude and value.

Stellantis made the announcement on May 5 and provided a glimpse at the four available grade levels, which start at $44,495.

The pickup comes standard with 20-inch wheels and a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine that delivers 305 horsepower. Consumers have the option of upgrading to the 3.0-liter Hurricane SO I-6 engine that delivers 420 horsepower.

The Ram 1500 Express aims to turn heads with a monochromatic paint scheme. The pickup features gloss black grille surrounds and body-color front and rear bumpers.

The Ram 1500 Express, which hails from the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan, has five exterior color options. The list includes Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Forged Blue, and Hydro Blue.

The Quad Cab 2WD starts at $44,495 and the Crew Cab 2WD starts at $47,245. The Quad Cab 4WD starts at $48,345 and the Crew Cab 4WD starts at $51,095.

Each price includes the $2,095 destination. Orders are open for the Ram 1500 Express. Stellantis says they will be available in the third quarter of 2025.

Stellantis added a special Ram 1500 Black Express package

The starting price of the Ram 1500 Express helps Stellantis try to deliver value. The design of the pickup addresses the attitude factor.

The automaker went another step further for the 2026 model year by adding the Ram 1500 Black Express package. This add-on ($995) takes the Quad Cab 4WD and Crew Cab 4WD models to another level.

The Black package adds several features, headlined by an upgraded interior with black bucket seats, a 7-inch gauge cluster, and a floor console.

The package also includes a sport hood, black badging, black 20-inch wheels, LED fog lamps, and side steps.

“The Express is the latest drop in Ram’s product offensive,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO, Ram brand, in a statement.

“We started the 2025 model year with a new Ram 1500 and new Ram Heavy Duty lineup. With the platforms refreshed, we begin rolling out trim level enhancements.

“The sunset of our Ram 1500 Classic makes the Express a natural front-runner. We have 25 more product announcements planned within the next 18 months, ranging from mild to wild with something for every truck buyer.”
