Fans of sports cars have numerous ways to showcase their favorite brands. A select few recently had the opportunity to put their Porsche appreciation on display with some Puma shoes.

The longtime footwear brand and the car manufacturer recently joined forces to release a limited-edition line of shoes. The 50Y 911 Turbo Sneakers celebrated the 50th anniversary of the first Porsche 911 Turbo.

These exclusive sneakers, which Puma and Porsche limited to 911 units per model, featured special details. The word “Turbo” took over the side of the shoes while the Porsche logo went on the heel. The word “Turbo” also took up prominent placement on the tongue.

Puma based the design of the Turbo No. 1 shoe on the car presented to Louise Piëch on her 70th birthday, Aug. 29, 1974. This prototype was the fastest German series production vehicle at the time.

This Turbo No. 1 shoe features a metallic silver exterior, which matches the prototype car. The shoe’s interior has a red and blue tartan pattern to match the car’s interior.

The Turbo 930 model draws its inspiration from Dr. Ferry Porsche’s Turbo vehicle from 1976. This shoe features an Oak Green Metallic exterior with a green tartan interior.

Puma and Porsche highlighted some select markets

The Turbo No. 1 and the Turbo 930 shoe models headline the sneaker lineup. However, the list of special models also includes some exclusive to select markets.

According to Porsche, the countries are the US, Canada, Germany, France, Poland, the Netherlands, the UK, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan.

The United States model, in particular, features an Olive exterior with black lining. The red on the heel of the shoe resembles the car’s taillights. The “Turbo” text went on one side of the shoe while “Limited Edition” text went on the other.

The exclusive shoes became available in the United States on Aug. 29, at 3:11 a.m. ET. The price was $199 on the Porsche online store and in local Porsche Centers. The shoes immediately sold out online.
