Jeep has announced it will extend the life of the V8-powered Wrangler 392 Final Edition, making it available through the 2025 model year.
Jeep originally unveiled the limited-edition SUV in March, saying the 392 Final Edition would end with the 2024 model year. However, the response prompted Jeep to keep the ride going for another year.
“When news broke in March that Jeep Wrangler 392 was roaring off into the sunset, the comments, coverage, and conversation showed us that the Jeep community isn’t quite ready to say goodbye to the V-8-powered Wrangler,” said Bill Peffer, senior vice president and head of Jeep brand North America, in a press release.
“Jeep brand listened and will continue the 392 Final Edition into the 2025 model year.”
This $99,995 vehicle (plus $1,895 delivery) boasts a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 delivering 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Jeep said the 392 Final Edition could go from zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.0 seconds.
Jeep and Stellantis limited the 2024 run to only 3,700 units globally. They did not list the number of units for the 2025 model year.
The Jeep Wrangler 392 Final Edition comes standard with several things built for the outdoor enthusiast. This includes an 8,000-pound-capacity Warn winch and 11.6 inches of ground clearance. The 392 Final Edition also has 34.5 inches of water fording and heavy-duty rock sliders.
Those who want to cross rivers can take advantage of another feature. The Tri-level Hydro-Guide air intake system “can channel up to 15 gallons of water a minute” away from the V8 Hemi.
There are multiple exclusive items built for the Wrangler 392 Final Edition, including the following:
- Exclusive hood and fender vent decals
- Black Nappa leather-trimmed seats
- Specially monogrammed shifter medallion and swing gate plaque
