Ford Performance and Romain Dumas are joining forces once again to chase a division win at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This time, they are heading to Colorado with a special Mustang Mach-E.
Ford Performance, the motorsports division of Ford Motor Company, teased its newest creation on Friday, May 30. According to the posts on social media, the Super Mustang Mach-E delivers a staggering 6,125 lbs of downforce.
This is twice the downforce produced by a Koenigsegg Jesko Attack (3086.472 pounds). Granted, Ford Performance did not detail the speed at which the Super Mustang Mach-E produced more than 6,000 pounds of downforce.
Ford Performance still has more details to provide about the Super Mustang Mach-E. The motorsports division will do so as the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb approaches.
The 103rd running of the prestigious motorsports event will take place on June 22, 2025.
Ford Performance has multiple Pikes Peak wins

The Super Mustang Mach-E is the latest in a long line of EV demonstrators, and it continues the goal of pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
Ford Performance has used these EV demonstrators to chase records at a variety of high-profile events. This includes the NHRA Winter Nationals, where the Super Cobra Jet 1800 set the world record for a quarter-mile pass with a full-bodied drag car. Its time was 7.759 seconds at 180.14 miles.
Dumas, who will control the Super Mustang Mach-E, has scored a division win and set a world record in other EV demonstrators.
The prominent example is last season’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Dumas controlled the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck and used it to post a time of 8:53.553. This was the fastest of 61 competitors.
Back in 2023, Dumas used the SuperVan 4.2 in the hill climb to set a world record time at 8:47:682.
“The progression of Ford electric vehicles taking on and completing the toughest challenges is a major testament to the hard work and dedication our teams have put into the program,” said Mark Rushbrook, global director of Ford Performance Motorsports.
“We learned a great deal from SuperVan 4.2 in last year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb and were able to apply that knowledge to this year’s run. It’s onward and upward from here.”
