Ford Performance has turned heads at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in the past two seasons with its EV demonstrators. This trend will continue this season as the 1,400-horsepower Mach-E makes its debut at the prestigious event.
Ford Performance teased the EV demonstrator on May 30. It provided the first full look on June 16.
This Super Mustang Mach-E is about 250 pounds lighter than the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck that won Pikes Peak last year. It features three UHP 6-Phase motors that deliver more than 1,400 horsepower.

The Super Mustang Mach-E has a 50kWh high-performance battery pack, which Ford says feeds the system with 799V of raw energy.
Of course, the wildest part of this EV demonstrator is the amount of downforce it produces. Ford Performance says it is 6,900 pounds of downforce at 150 mph. This is more than twice the downforce of the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack (3086.472 pounds).
Ford Performance revealed the driver of the Mach-E

Ford Performance will use the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb as its “laboratory” to test the Super Mustang Mach-E. This will provide crucial data moving forward as the company continues pushing boundaries of what is possible with EV cars.
It will also try to score another win while putting the EV demonstrator on full display.
A familiar presence will be in the Super Mustang Mach-E for this year’s Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Romain Dumas, a two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner, will return to Ford Performance for another race up the mountain.
Dumas has made 10 trips up the Colorado mountain, three with Ford Performance. He holds the overall Pikes Peak record with a time of 7:57.148.
Last season, he won the title for Ford Performance with a time of 8:53:553 in the F-150 Lightning SuperTruck. This was after he lost nearly 30 seconds due to a malfunction.
