Nissan has taken consumer feedback and used it to create the 2025 Frontier pickup, which boasts a refreshed design.

Announced Monday, the Frontier features a “tough, squared-off appearance with a revised front fascia, grille and bumper design.” The pickup also has a new 17-inch alloy wheel design, a new tailgate finisher for the PRO-X/PRO-4X models, and a new Afterburn Orange paint option.

Nissan made several changes to the Frontier’s model lines after receiving feedback from consumers. For example, the telescopic-adjusting steering wheel is now standard across all models. The driver’s seat now has two-way power lumbar on SV models and above.

A major change to the interior of the Frontier is the infotainment system. The touchscreen system is now 12.3 inches with added wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Frontier features a direct-injected 3.8-liter V6 engine that delivers 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque. Nissan paired this engine with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

Improving the everyday driving experience was only one of the points of emphasis for Nissan. The company also focused on upgrades that consumers could use whether they were at work on enjoying the weekend.

Additionally, The crew cab wheelbase with a six-foot truck bed is now available on the SV, SL, and PRO-4X grades. The bed includes a Utili-Track system with adjustable tie-down cleats and an available spray-in bedliner. The bed also has an available 120-volt power outlet.

One other improvement for the 2025 model year is the towing capacity. Nissan says it increased capacity by 500 pounds across all trim levels compared to the 2024 Frontier. The capacity is now a maximum of up to 7,150 pounds.

Consumers who purchase the PRO-X and PRO-4X will have access to all-terrain tires and Bilstein off-road suspension components. These trim levels include Lava Red tow hooks and over-fenders.

The 2025 Nissan Frontier will arrive at dealerships later this summer. Nissan will announce pricing for the trim levels at a later date.
