With the Masters Tournament set for April 10-13, Mercedes-Benz is celebrating a two-time champion. The automaker has gifted Bernhard Langer a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
According to a press release, Mercedes-Benz honored Langer with a personalized Manufaktur S-Class. This special vehicle includes several unique details, such as the embroidered Masters logos featuring more than 2,800 stitches.
The center console of the S-Class features the Masters logo and a recreation of Langer’s signature. The headrest includes the dates of Langer’s two Masters wins. The exterior features a special green paint job.

Mercedes-Benz unveiled this gift as Langer prepares to compete in his final Masters Tournament, which takes place 40 years after his first victory at Augusta.
“Bernhard is a true golf icon, who has been an integral member of the Mercedes-Benz family for nearly 40 years,” said Bettina Fetzer, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Digital & Communications.
“As we celebrate his extraordinary career, we honor our deep bond with a personalized S-Class crafted especially for him. We’re excited for many more great moments with him on the road ahead.”
Langers pushed his final Masters appearance due to injury
This weekend marks the 40th anniversary of Langers’ first Masters championship. It will serve as a fitting bookend as he competes at the Augusta National Golf Course for the final time.
However, this final appearance was actually set for last year before an injury disrupted the schedule. He snapped his Achilles tendon while playing pickeball and pushed back the date of his final Masters appearance.
Why is the 67-year-old golfer stepping away from the prestigious event? The simple answer is that Langers realized he wasn’t as competitive anymore.
“”The course is just getting too long and I’m getting shorter and shorter,” Langers said this week, per the BBC.
“I’m hitting hybrids (into greens) where the other kids are hitting nine-irons, maybe even wedges. So I knew I wasn’t going to be in contention anymore.”
This year’s Masters Tournament will be the final ride for Langers, but he will close out this era of his career in style thanks to Mercedes-Benz.
