The New York International Auto Show has allowed manufacturers to showcase the latest and greatest in their future lineups. For Hyundai, this week features the unveiling of the new Palisade XRT Pro.
Hyundai built this SUV for United States-based consumers who want to hit the trail and enjoy off-road adventures. They made this immediately clear by including functional canyon red recovery hooks on the front and rear. The Palisade XRT Pro also has a factory-installed tow hitch with a conceal panel.
The off-road features continue with 8.4 inches of ground clearance — more than 1 inch greater than other Palisade models. The XRT Pro comes standard with a rear electronic limited-slip differential to improve traction. It has a surround-view monitor with forward ground view to help guide drivers on their adventures.
The Palisade XRT Pro also features HTRAC all-wheel drive and downhill brake control. It has drive modes for mud, sand, and snow.
The heart of the off-road SUV is a 3.5-liter V6 that delivers an estimated 287 horsepower and up to 260 lb.-ft. of torque. It features an estimated towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. Hyundai paired the powertrain with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Palisade XRT Pro has several exclusive features

The Palisade XRT Pro is the main feature of the upcoming lineup, so it includes several exclusive features. Chief among them is the beefier front fascia with the tow hooks.
The SUV also includes exclusive 18-inch dark finish alloy wheels, special rear badging, and dark exterior accents.
The interior boasts a heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, and H-Tex leatherette seating surfaces. The seats are both heated and ventilated. The XRT Pro also comes standard with a power moonroof.
The entertainment system pairs with a 14-speaker Bose audio system.
“The 2026 Palisade XRT Pro is for people doing it all — raising families, chasing goals, showing up every day,” said Olabisi Boyle, SVP, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America.
“We built this SUV by putting people first — thinking about real lives, real needs. It’s got space for your crew, capability when the road gets rough, and the kind of comfort, style, and efficiency that proves luxury doesn’t have to come with a luxury price. We wanted to deliver a vehicle where affordability can meet lifestyle — no matter where off-road you want to go.”
Hyundai did not provide the suggested MSRP of the Palisade XRT Pro. The automaker said it will build the SUV at the factory in Ulsan, South Korea. It will arrive at dealerships in early summer.
