Ford has made multiple changes to the Mustang Mach-E for the 2025 model year, including a visual redesign.
Unveiled on Monday, the updated EV features a Sports Appearance Package based on the Mustang Mach-E GT. This includes an updated front fascia and grille shield. The package also includes red-painted Brembo brake calipers and high-gloss black 19-inch wheels.
The interior also features visual updates, such as sportier pedals. The interior includes red accent stitching and a column-mounted shifter.
The updates for 2025 continue with new exterior color options, which are available at an added cost. This list includes Molten Magenta Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Velocity Blue Metallic, and Desert Sand.
Another update for the 2025 model year involves how the EV drives. Ford has included its BlueCruise 1.5, the hands-free driving system. The updated version of BlueCruise features Automatic Lane Change that does not require driver input.
BlueCruise 1.5 is available on a complimentary 90-day subscription. Consumers can then either purchase a one-year plan or make a one-time purchase covering seven years.
Mustang Mach-E updates include something for cold-weather customers
The viability of EVs in cold-weather climates has remained a topic of conversation as the automotive industry has moved further toward electrification.
The Mustang Mach-E, in particular, lost around 30% of its range in cold temperatures during a series of Consumer Report tests.
Ford has taken steps to address this concern with the updated Mach-E. The manufacturer has added a heat pump as standard equipment across all model lines to optimize energy consumption.
“We’ve built strong relationships with our customers over the last four years, and continue to make upgrades based on their feedback,” said Donna Dickson, Mustang Mach-E chief engineer, in a statement.
“We’re dedicated to giving them the best version of Mustang Mach-E possible, and that means giving them features they have been asking for, like the new heat pump and more interior space up front.”
The 2025 Mustang Mach-E will go on sale early next year. The starting price is $36,495. The $1,995 destination takes the price to $38,490, which is $3,500 cheaper than last year’s model.
