The Ford Bronco Sport has shown that it’s possible for consumers to connect with Sasquatch, albeit in a different way.
According to Ford, Sasquatch is the off-road package available on the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport. This package is already available on the full-size Ford Bronco, but now it also moves to the smaller SUV.
This package comes standard with an “ultra-rugged twin-clutch rear-drive unit” and a locking rear differential included. It also features larger, 29-inch 235/65/R17 Goodyear Territory All Terrain tires.
The Sasquatch package is available in two different models — the 1.5-liter Outer Banks and the 2.0-liter Badlands.
The Bronco Sport Badlands Sasquatch includes Rally G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Mode. This mode holds gears longer, sharpens throttle response, and increases steering feedback. The goal is to provide more confidence at higher speeds in the sand.
The Badlands model has new front and rear springs. They provide up to 8.3 inches of front suspension travel and 8.7 inches of rear suspension travel.
The Badlands model features a 360-degree camera. This feature includes a split-view showing the front tires through cameras under the side mirrors.
Both the Outer Banks and Badlands Sasquatch models have steel front and rear bumpers. These include tow hooks. Both models have steel plates underneath for off-road adventures. The Badlands model includes a steel bash plate to protect its “chin.”
Some upgrades are not limited to Sasquatch packages
Ford made multiple changes to the Bronco Sport line ahead of 2025. Some are exclusive to the Sasquatch package. Others are available across all Bronco Sport models.
Every trim level has Ford’s Trail One-Pedal Drive. Drivers can use this system to stop and go with only the gas pedal. The Bronco Sport models also include tie-down hooks that sit in the front fenders. These pop out when needed to tie down roof cargo.
The list includes a standard 13.2-inch center display with the SYNC 4 system and over-the-air software updates. Wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play are available. Though the Bronco Sport also has two USB C ports up front and six in total. The two front ports sit in the device cubby located on top of the dashboard.
Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+ is standard on every trim. This includes such things as auto high-beam headlights and adaptive cruise control. All Bronco Sport models have evasive steering assist, a lane-keeping system, and pre-collision assist systems.
“Bronco Sport customers love the outdoors and go off-roading 3.5 times as often as the owners of competitive vehicles, and camping twice as often,” said Matt Simpson, Ford Enthusiast Vehicles general manager, in a statement.
“They want to know they can overcome obstacles that come their way, which drove our designers and engineers to push Bronco Sport to a new level of capability and performance to let our customers do more and have more fun off-road.”
The Ford Bronco Sport lineup is available for consumers to order. The Sasquatch models will not be available until Q1 2025.
