Fiat has unveiled the newest addition to the 500e lineup, one that draws inspiration from Southern California.
The Fiat 500e Inspired By Los Angeles is the latest unique variation on the all-electric 500e. This model features an exclusive paint, Marine Layer Mist. This name comes from the natural phenomenon that occurs when warmer air presses down on the cooler air near the ground. This forms the hazy clouds that are common in Los Angeles.
The 500e Inspired By Los Angeles includes multiple other special details, such as black daylight opening exterior trim. There are also matte grey mirror caps and a body-color instrument panel. Music aficionados will appreciate the seven-speaker JBL amplified audio system with a subwoofer.
Like the other models in the Inspired By line, the 500e delivers 117 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque. Fiat says the car can go from zero to 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds. The 42-KWh battery has an estimated range of 149 miles (240 kilometers).
The all-electric car comes standard with 17-inch machined diamond-cut alloy wheels with summer or all-season tires.
“Los Angeles’s special combination of ‘La Dolce Vita’ beach lifestyle, iconic car culture, and high adoption of BEVs means it’s the ideal inspiration for our next 500e drop,” said Aamir Ahmed, head of FIAT North America, in a press release.
“The new Fiat 500e Inspired By Los Angeles reflects both Italian heritage, with its classic cinquecento design theme and made-in-Turin origin, and Angeleno culture, reflected in its Marine Layer Mist color and urban mission.”
The 500e Inspired By Los Angeles is available for order this month. It will arrive in showrooms in the third quarter of 2024. The base price is $36,000 plus the $1,595 destination fee.
