Dodge has answered a lingering question about the newest vehicle in the Charger family. The automaker has detailed the pricing and available packages for the Charger Daytona R/T and Charger Daytona Scat Pack.
The all-electric R/T will have a base price of $59,595. Adding in a destination fee of $1,995 takes the starting price to $61,590. This model will launch standard with a factory-installed Direct Connection Stage 1 Upgrade that boosts total output to 496 horsepower and 404 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Scat Pack model will have a base price of $73,190. The destination fee takes the price to $75,185. For comparison, the 2023 Charger Scat Pack with a V8 engine started at $51,925.
The Charger Daytona Scat Pack comes standard with the Direct Connection Stage 2 Upgrade. This factory-installed upgrade boosts the total output to 670 horsepower and 627 lb.-ft. of torque. Dodge says this vehicle will go from zero to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds.
Both the all-electric R/T and all-electric Scat Pack will qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit (when leased). According to Dodge, all 2024 Charger Daytona models include two options for charging.
One option is an at-home Level 2 charging station. The second option is $600 in charge credits through Free2move Charge, an ecosystem that focuses on charging on the go.
Both Charger Daytona models come standard with Powershot. This system provides 40 horsepower for 15 seconds when activated through the steering wheel button and a punch of the throttle. It bears similarity to the push-to-pass system used in IndyCar.
The interior features include a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 radio with wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple Car Play, and Amazon Alexa Capability. The Charger Daytona also includes a nine-speaker Alpine audio system with a subwoofer.
“The future of the Dodge brand launches with a two-model 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona two-door lineup that looks, drives, sounds, and feels like a Dodge, outperforming the legendary models they replace and delivering the experience the Dodge Brotherhood of Muscle expects,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge brand chief executive officer at Stellantis, in a statement.
“And we are just getting started. Four-door Charger Daytona models, along with the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. fueled by the 3.0L Twin Turbo Hurricane engine, are coming soon. The next generation of Dodge muscle cars has arrived, and they are flat out the best muscle cars ever made.”
The Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack has exclusive features
The $75,185 price tag on the Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack is not small, but it adds some exclusives to the electric car.
For example, the Scat Pack two-door models include red Brembo six-piston fixed front and four-piston rear brakes. They also have a gloss black rear spoiler and dual valve adaptive damping suspension. The Scat Pack model also includes performance seats with fixed headrests.
The exclusives also extend to the available driving modes. Both the R/T and the Scat Pack will have modes for Auto, Eco, Sport, and Wet/Snow. The R/T model will have a valet mode.
The Scat pack model also includes Track, Drag, and Custom drive modes for drivers who want to take part in track events. This model also has Drift Mode, Donut Mode, Launch Control, Race Prep, and Line Lock.
Two-door versions of the Charger Daytona R/T and the Charger Daytona Scat Pack will begin production this summer. The four-door versions will go into production in the first half of 2025. The V6-powered two-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and four-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. models will begin production in the second half of 2025.
