Aston Martin delivers South Florida flair with Palm Beach DB12

Aston Martin is a distinctly British automaker, but it is bringing some South Florida flair to a prestigious model with the Palm Beach Edition DB12 Volante.

This one-of-a-kind open-top Super Tourer immediately stands out with its Q by Aston Martin Frosted Glass Blue exterior paint. This is not a simple blue, however, as Q by Aston Martin used glass flakes in the topcoat.

This provided a “shimmering” effect that tied into the oceanside theme. Aston Martin said that it could only use a hand spray application method for this unique paint job due to its complexity.

The other special exterior features of the Palm Beach Edition DB12 Volante include Gloss Jet Black diamond-turned five-spoke wheels and a Club Sport White pinstripe.

The South Florida theme continues with the DB12 Volante’s interior, which features a palm-tree motif. This includes the “open-pore Linear Light Olive Ash book-matched wood trim” and seatbacks. The leather seats have palm-inspired stitching.

Another unique detail added by the Q by Aston Martin team is Palm Beach’s latitude and longitude coordinates. These are embossed in the leather dashboard.

It’s impossible to deny that the Palm Beach Edition DB12 Volante is a unique vehicle. This is especially true, considering that it is not available to the general public. A customer specifically commissioned the creation of this Florida-themed roadster while working with Q from Aston Martin.

What is Q from Aston Martin? It’s a car customization playground for fans of the longtime automaker.

Customers can pick from a variety of sports cars and SUVs and then make them their own. This includes the DB12, Vanquish, Valhalla, Vantage, and DBX S.

These customers can then choose from a seemingly endless list of exterior paints before customizing badges, diffusers, and tailpipes. They can then customize essentially every part of the interior.

The Palm Beach DB12 Volante is an example of what customers can create with these tools.

“This extraordinary DB12 Volante model perfectly encapsulates the understated elegance of both Palm Beach and Aston Martin,” said Pedro Mota, Regional President of Aston Martin The Americas.

“Through a collaboration with Q by Aston Martin and Aston Martin Palm Beach, we have created an exceptional sports car that merges stunning performance, artistry, and luxury.

“This Q commission is bound to entice more customers to create a unique specification with Q by Aston Martin, where peerless creativity and British craftsmanship generate vehicles as unique and special for their owners.”
