A former piece in the Rick Hendrick car collection is available via auction, but only for one more day. Time is running out for interested parties to win a Ferrari with only 1,700 miles.
The vehicle is a 2012 Ferrari 458 Spider. According to the Bring a Trailer entry, Hendrick purchased the car new. It remained in his collection until 2017 when he sold it to its current owner.
The heart of this luxury car is a 4.5-liter F136F V8. The factory rating of this engine was 562 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque.
The 458 Spider features a Rosso Corsa (racing red) exterior and a beige leather interior. It has a matching dashboard and center console, which boasts a CD player. The Ferrari also has dual-zone climate control, navigation, and a backup camera.
The 458 Spider sits on 20-inch forged five-spoke alloy wheels. It has Pirelli P Zero tires.
Hendrick has a massive car collection
This particular Ferrari may not be part of the Hendrick collection anymore, but the championship-winning owner has several other cars.
The Detroit Free Press took a trip to Hendrick’s collection in 2023 and provided some important details. For example, Hendrick has 220 collector’s cars in a 58,000-square-foot North Carolina facility.
More than half of these cars are rare Corvettes. Many are VIN #001.
The collection also includes vehicles used in the “Transformers” movies and a 2023 Ferrari SF90 Spider. Hendrick also has numerous Camaros, a fire engine, and a race hauler used by his late son, Ricky.
Cars are not the only pieces in the historic collection. Hendrick also has dozens of autographed guitars and footballs. He even has a suit worn by Elvis.
One sentimental vehicle at the Hendrick Heritage Center is actually Hendrick’s first car — a 1931 Chevrolet Coupe. This vehicle sits in front of a recreation of his grandfather’s store.
