A 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Sport Coupe previously owned by the late Paul Walker just sold on Bring a Trailer for almost $98,000.
According to the listing, the Chevy II Nova sold on Dec. 3 for $97,515. The buyer, user Donavan_BigDs, made 11 bids to win the classic car. They said that the Chevy II Nova would go in their collection with a 1955 Chevy 3100 Big Window pickup.
The classic car features a 6.0-liter LQ9 Vortec V8 engine and a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission. The digital odometer shows 5,000 miles on the engine.
Other modifications on the vehicle include a Mustang II-style power-steering rack and staggered-diameter Wheel Vintiques wheels. The Chevy II Nova has a cowl-induction hood and a dual rear exhaust.
The interior features two General Motors front seats and a bench rear seat. The interior is black and the seats have white stripes running down the center. A push-button radio adds to the vintage feel of the classic.
YearOne Parts did the modifications to the Chevy II Nova before the presentation in 2004. This followed the production of 2003’s “2 Fast 2 Furious,” which starred Walker and Tyrese Gibson in lead roles. The cast also featured Cole Hauser, Ludacris, and Eva Mendes.
YearOne is a familiar brand for fans of “2 Fast 2 Furious.” A 1969 Yenko Camaro from the film appeared in multiple scenes. It had YearOne license plates and a YearOne sticker on the rear window.
This is the Camaro Walker’s character won in a late-night drag race and the one he drove during the film’s finale. Barrett-Jackson restored the Camaro and auctioned it off in 2013, the same year Walker passed away in a single-car crash.
The movie car, which featured Vin Diesel’s autograph, sold for $132,000 at the Las Vegas auction. It was one of several cars from the films to sell at a Barrett-Jackson auction in the decades since the original film’s release.
