A Ford camper van previously owned by the late Jimmy Buffett is available on Bring a Trailer, but time is running out for potential bidders.
The popular vehicle auction site is showcasing the 2004 Ford E-350, which the current seller purchased from Buffett in 2020. The van features a conversion making it four-wheel drive and a camper. Sportsmobile West did the work.
According to photos posted on Bring a Trailer, there is a collection of items previously belonging to Buffett. The list includes a belt, multiple hats, DVDs, and a hand blender.
The photos also show a variety of paperwork in the name of James Buffett.
A camper made for adventure
This camper features numerous touches for those who want to chase adventure while listening to “A Pirate Looks at Forty” or “Why Don’t We Get Drunk.” Most notable is an Alpine touchscreen head unit with a CD player, so there is always an opportunity to listen to music while traveling the country.
There are storage compartments in the rear of the camper, a power-operated ceiling vent, a fold-down entertainment screen, sleeping surfaces, a propane surface, overhead lighting, and residential-style outlets.
The Sportsmobile, which has 69k miles, also has an extended height roof and ladders to access the top. The exterior details also include Yakima roof bars, an ARB air compressor, a rear shower, and AMP Research retractable running boards.
The camper van has a kitchenette with a sink, a microwave, a butane stove, and a Norcold refrigerator. This setup is ideal for camping out in the woods or on the beach. There is no need to book a hotel and worry about checkout times.
There is also plenty of room to bring pets along with the open interior, spacious rear seat, and air conditioning.
The action for the Ford camper van ends Monday, June 10, at 4:59 p.m. The current bid, as of Saturday, is $75,000. The Carfax report shows no damage or accidents. The vehicle has resided in California, Arizona, and Colorado.
