Fans of classic cars have an opportunity to pick up a 1937 Chevrolet sedan delivery featuring some updated features. Chief among them is an engine from a Corvette.

The 1937 Chevrolet, which is on the Bring a Trailer auction block, underwent a transformation in the early 2000s. The owner put a Corvette-sourced 350ci LT1 V8 in the classic car and paired it with a four-speed automatic transmission.

They modified the frame with independent suspension assemblies from a C4 Corvette. The owner added adjustable coilovers.

The Chevrolet features a Chrysler Inferno Red paint job with white pinstriping. It has an airbrushed US flag and a bald eagle on the side panels. The modified Chevrolet sits on 17-inch Foose wheels and 205/45 (front) and 225/45 (rear) Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus tires.

The exterior of the 1937 Chevrolet sedan delivery is not the only part that underwent a significant reconfiguration. The interior received some work as modern touches joined the classic design.

According to Bring a Trailer, Danny’s Custom Interiors in Alabama installed taupe leather upholstery and wool carpet. The additions included heated and power-adjustable front seats with integrated three-point inertia-reel seatbelts.

The Chevrolet sedan delivery’s interior features a Vintage Air climate control system and a Pioneer head unit. USB outlets provide charging power for mobile devices. The windows are now powered.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel mounts to a tilting column. It sits in front of the Dakota Digital gauge cluster. According to the odometer, the 1937 Chevrolet sedan delivery has 15,000 miles.

The winning bidder of the Bring a Trailer auction will secure the hot rod and multiple other features. This includes a scale model and the May 2004 issue of “Southern Rodder” magazine. This issue featured the custom Chevrolet on the cover.
