Rockstar Games released a brand-new trailer this week and showed off nearly three minutes of footage from “Grand Theft Auto VI.” The characters were the focus, but it was the cars that caught our attention.
The 3D games in the “Grand Theft Auto” lineage have long featured vehicles bearing similarities to those in the real world. Using fake vehicles makes it easier to destroy them without offending any automakers.
The most famous example is the Dodge Viper-inspired Banshee from “Grand Theft Auto III,” which has continued to appear in the series.
As the new “GTA VI” trailer showed, the video game version of Miami and Southern Florida will feature seemingly endless amounts of vehicles for players to obtain however they see fit.
The examples included a dually pickup truck pulling what appeared to be a safe and a mid-90s police cruiser, but these were only the start.
Our favorite vehicles from the “Grand Theft Auto VI” trailer

Rockstar Games kicked off the trailer by showcasing two trucks of different styles. One was a Vapid Caracara 4×4 — a vehicle from “GTA V” — that was a Ford Raptor in everything but name. This tough off-roader belongs to drug runner Brian Heder.
The other pickup is Rockstar Games’ version of the Chevrolet El Camino. This little pickup with a car’s body belongs to Jason, one of the game’s two main characters. Jason uses this to cruise around town, collect cash from local businesses, and avoid law enforcement.

Eagle-eyed viewers of the trailer noticed a large group of luxury vehicles gathered on Ocean Drive, provided they paused the video in time.
Tucked off to the side was the Bravado Banshee, which returns for yet another “Grand Theft Auto.” The clip also showed a green Pegassi — the in-game version of a Lamborghini. Off to the right sat what appeared to be a Benefactor Schafter — the stand-in for a Mercedes-Benz.
The silver car in the background was not particularly clear. It could have been the Corvette stand-in known as the Invetero Coquette. It also bore similarities to the game’s version of a Porsche, the Pfister.

This game takes place in Vice City — Rockstar’s version of Miami — and the surrounding areas of South Florida, so it will feature custom cars. Car customization was previously part of “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas” and “Grand Theft Auto V.”
The trailer showed some customization with a brief glimpse at multiple vehicles moving down a city street. The big draw was Rockstar’s version of a Chevrolet Caprice Classic. This was not a standard sedan, considering that the owner turned it into a Donk.
Judging by past entries in the series, this car is part of the Albany lineup.

The full game will inevitably feature dozens of other vehicles, but gamers will not see the full list for a long time. Prior to dropping the trailer, Rockstar Games announced it had delayed “Grand Theft Auto VI” until May 26, 2026.
