There have been a lot of family shows on television over the years but none could match the laughter and drama of The Brady Bunch. Debuting in 1969 and running through 1974, the show provided many different storylines for its viewers.
Florence Henderson and Robert Reed starred as Carol and Mike Brady, parents to three boys and three girls. Toss in a housekeeper who did her part around the zaniness and you have a recipe for success. In the series, there were 117 total episodes. But we’re going to look at the top 5 so see if your favorite ranks up there.
The Subject Was Noses
Marcia (Maureen McCormick) pulls a fast one on The Brady Bunch. She’s getting to go out with Doug Simpson, the “big man on campus.” In order to do so, she has to break off a date with Charlie. Ouch! But karma might have come around and bitten Marcia. She gets hit on the nose by a football…and Simpson ends up breaking his date with her. All of this takes place in Season 4.
Hawaii Bound
As Season 4 opens up, we see the Brady family and Alice (Ann B. Davis) head over to Hawaii for some rest and fun. While there, though, Peter (Christopher Knight) and Bobby (Mike Lookinland) happen to find a Tiki doll on The Brady Bunch. There are some islanders who just believe that the idol is full of bad luck. Hawaiian singer and entertainer Don Ho makes an appearance in this episode.
Fright Night
The Brady boys decide to scare the hell out of the Brady girls with a ghostly apparition. When things go wrong, the girls try and get even with the boys. Alice offers up some criticism for both the boys and girls. Well, they are not going to take that sitting down. It’s time to turn their attention on Alice in this Season 4 episode of The Brady Bunch.
Getting Davy Jones
In this Season 3 episode, Marcia tells people at her school that she can get The Monkees’ singer Davy Jones to come to their junior prom. How so? Well, Jones sent Marcia a letter she received as president of the local fan club. But Marcia is having trouble getting Jones’ attention to ask him about the junior prom. Jones makes an appearance on The Brady Bunch episode.
Pass the Tabu On ‘The Brady Bunch’
Back in Hawaii, having this tiki is not working out. A lot of bad luck keeps bumping into the Brady family in this Season 4 episode. This sets the Brady boys off on a trip to learn about the ancient tiki. Well, they find out that the tiki actually is tabu and needs to be put down in an ancient burial ground. Vincent Price makes an appearance here on The Brady Bunch.
