‘Modern Family’ Cast Sends Internet Spiraling With Hilarious Reunion Photo: ‘Phil Isn’t Dead’

‘Modern Family’ Cast Sends Internet Spiraling With Hilarious Reunion Photo: ‘Phil Isn’t Dead’

While enjoying a few laughs and their first reunion together, the Modern Family cast may have caused the internet to spiral a bit with a hilarious group snapshot.

Sofia Vergara hosted the special reunion earlier this week and posted a series of pictures of the cast. However, in one of the group photos, there was a hilarious framed picture of a headphone-wearing Ty Burrell, who couldn’t make it to the party which worried some Modern Family fans.

“Bruh, I thought Phil died,” one fan declared in the comment section as they observed Burrell’s photo. “I almost had a mini heart attack.”

Another fan then stated, “Typical Phil, making us think the worse, he should have been the robot iPad thing if he couldn’t make it.”

Vergara fueled the hilarious reactions by posting a video of the castmates saying, “We miss you, Ty!”

Modern Family first premiered in September 2009 and had an 11-season run. The show ended in April 2020 with 250 episodes plus 1 special.

The comedy series followed three different but related families each facing trials and tribulations in their own unique and hilarious ways. Starring with Vergara and Burrell on the show were Ed O’Neill, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Eric Stonestreet.

Sofia Vergara Says She Didn’t Think Any of the Castmates Were Ready for ‘Modern Family’ to End

During a 2021 interview with Variety, Sofia Vergara reflected on Modern Family and its official end after 11 seasons.

“I don’t think any one of us was ready [for the show to end,” Vergara admitted. “It was such an amazing experience. It’s, like, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an actor to be cast in a TV show like that with success all over the world.”

Vergara also admitted she was nervous about her own career after Modern Family ended. “I was very worried, like, ‘What am I going to do next?’ You know, as an actor, there is a very small percentage that you’re going to find a show with that success, so I said that I am going to go and do the opposite because I know I won’t find that again.”

However, Vergara ended up quickly snagging her next gig on America’s Got Talent. She admitted to not expecting to do something like that show. “When they came to me with the offer, I was like, ‘What? Me?’” She recalled. “And then it was like, ‘Oh my god, this is a godsend.’ I realized that maybe this is what I would need to do to forget about Modern Family.
