Lost captivated viewers across six seasons, the ensemble cast of survivors keeping us coming back to the mysterious island for more. It may be hard to believe, but it’s been nearly 20 years since the show first hooked the world when it debuted in the fall of 2004. A recent post on Instagram reminded fans of the passage of time, and how great the cast still looks!
However, the cast hasn’t just aged well. Their careers are still thriving over a decade since the show wrapped. Let’s take a look at what some of our favorite cast members have been up to since starring in the epic tale of survival.
Evangeline Lilly, the ‘Lost’ cast member who became an Avenger
Evangeline Lilly started her career as a model, then landed supporting roles in TV dramas like Smallville. However, her breakthrough came with her portrayal of reformed criminal Kate Austen in the hit series Lost. Her performance earned her a Golden Globe nomination and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Lilly has since had the most high-profile career of the Lost cast appearing in huge franchises like The Hobbit. Of course, she also joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the size-shifting hero, the Wasp. She most recently appeared in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Josh Holloway, from a mysterious island to ‘Yellowstone’
After the finale of Lost, Holloway jumped into the films, taking on minor roles in movies such as the blockbuster Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. In 2014, he made a comeback to the small screen with the show Intelligence and later landed the leading role in the network drama Colony. He also played the antagonist Roarke Carter in Yellowstone. He even recently made a guest appearance buzzing around Italy on motorcycles on Ride with Norman Reedus.
Jorge Garcia, from lovable Hurley to stand-up and podcasting
Before playing the comedic Hurley on Lost, Jorge Garcia starred alongside Ted Danson on the 90s sitcom, Becker. Hurley always added much-needed levity to intense situations on Lost, endearing him to viewers. Garcia has a successful career film, boasting roles in movies like The Ridiculous 6. He also still pops up on television for guest spots on shows such as Hawaii Five-O. He also showcases his talent as a stand-up comedian. Garcia even co-hosts a podcast about monster movies, called Kaiju Podcast.
Daniel Dae Kim, from supporting actor to big-time producer
Prior to his role as Jin-Soo Kwon on Lost, Daniel Dae Kim garnered consistent work through minor television roles such as on the WB’s Buffy the Vampire spin-off, Angel. Daniel Dae Kim continues acting but has expanded as a producer and director. He starred in the hit TV series Hawaii Five-O for seven seasons and currently serves as the executive producer of The Good Doctor, now in its 6th season.
Matthew Fox, the ‘Lost’ cast member who stays out of the limelight
Matthew Fox rose to fame with his breakthrough performance in the popular ’90s show Party of Five. Of course, he went on to play the lead of Lost, Dr. Jack Shephard, anchoring the show with a combination of pathos and charisma. Following Lost, Fox had a series of high-profile film roles ranging from crowd pleasers like We Are Marshall and indie horror westerns like Bone Tomahawk alongside Kurt Russell. However, the actor stepped away for several years to focus on his personal life. Fox recently returned to the small screen to lead the action series Last Light for Peacock.
