‘Breaking Bad’ Star Joins ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ as Stabler’s Brother

A Breaking Bad alum has joined the cast of Law & Order: Organized Crime to play the key role of Detective Stabler’s brother. Dean Norris has been cast as Randall Stabler, the older brother of Elliot Stabler, portrayed by Christopher Meloni. The storyline as reported by TVLine, will see Norris in a multi-episode arc.

Reportedly, two of Detective Stabler’s siblings are set to make an appearance in the upcoming season. One of them is Randall, who left the family at a young age and has since become a successful real estate developer. There has always been a lingering tension between Elliot and Randall, stemming from an incident involving their father.

The Breaking Bad star’s casting in Law & Order: Organized Crime seems especially spot on. Norris and Meloni really do look like they could be siblings.

Law & Order fans will also encounter another sibling, Joe Jr., who happens to be the youngest brother. He dedicated approximately 15 years of his life to serving in the Army, but unfortunately, he received a dishonorable discharge (although he has not disclosed the exact reason for it). Presently, he is employed by a British wine merchant, yet there is something about his work that fills him with shame whenever he comes face-to-face with Elliot, his hero.

This is a Reunion for the ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ Stars

Norris and Meloni are coming together again for this series. The duo is reuniting after a decade since their joint appearance in the 2014 movie Small Time. While Norris is widely recognized for his role as Hank Schrader in the acclaimed series Breaking Bad, spanning five seasons from 2008 to 2013, he also made a memorable guest appearance as the character in the prequel series Better Call Saul in 2020.

Norris has also gained recognition for his significant roles in the subsequent television series Under the Dome and Claws. In more recent times, he showcased his talent in United States of AI, which concluded last year. Additionally, earlier this year, Norris graced the screen in Charlie Day’s directorial debut film, Fool’s Paradise.

Law & Order: Organized Crime is the seventh installment in the Law & Order universe, hooking fans since its 2021 debut. This spin-off reintroduced Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, a beloved character from Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The series has a devoted following and was recently renewed for a fourth season. Alongside Meloni, the show features an ensemble cast including Rick Gonzalez, Danielle Mone Truitt, and Dylan McDermott.
