Usher Wears Blanket to Super Bowl LVIII, Viewers Lose It

The Super Bowl has arrived – and with it, the many outlandish outfits worn by celebrities to the big game. One celeb, however, is going viral for an unexpected reason. Rather than a flashy suit, Usher arrived ahead of his big Super Bowl halftime show performance in a blanket.

Unsurprisingly, viewers promptly took to Twitter to question the celebrated singer for his choice of garb. “Usher walking around with that blanket on like he got the flu,” one user wrote.

“Usher walking in with a blanket around his shoulders like he’s about to make popcorn and watch a scary movie,” another said. “Did Usher just walk in with his granny’s throw blanket?” added a third.

“usher showing up wrapped up in a blanket bc he’s grown and grown people know its so close to bedtime,” wrote another. “Usher walking in with a blanket draped around him like he just got off the couch from watching football all day…a relatable king lol,” another said.

Super Bowl Halftime to Include Usher, Special Guests

As the game has yet to begin, Usher’s halftime show remains largely a mystery. There are a few details, however, that have leaked to his anxiously awaiting fans.

First, the R&B legend will perform for 15 minutes rather than the regularly allotted 13, so he no doubt has something big in store. Could that include special guests?

Usher has performed alongside many other big names in his career, including Justin Bieber, who’s already been spotted in Las Vegas. The Canadian pop star has yet to confirm or deny the rumors that he will appear on stage at Allegiant Stadium.

A performer who has confirmed, though, is Alicia Keys, who famously collaborated with Usher for their 2004 hit “My Boo.”

Usher himself stated that he would be foolish not to perform his other 2004 smash, “Yeah!”. As this song features Lil Jon and Ludacris, a cameo from these artists certainly isn’t out of the question!
