Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid is the latest person from Travis Kelce’s camp to come out and sing praises for Taylor Swift.
Reid spoke about Swift during an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio recently, and as usual, Swift came into the conversation. She has been a source of controversy this season because of her attention-grabbing presence at games. Most people love seeing the 34-year-old cheering for her boyfriend from the suite.
But die-hard football fans are annoyed because they feel like she’s overshadowing the field. Some Cheifs fans have openly worried that she’s taken Kelce’s mind away from the game. He proved them wrong by helping his team make it to the Super Bowl, though.
Andy Reid shared that Taylor Swift has been a positive force for the Chiefs by being kind and supportive to Kelce and everyone involved with the team. Reid also thinks she’s handled the media circus with grace, which says a lot about her.
“Listen, it’s a tribute to how she’s handled it, how Kelce has handled it,” he said. “It hasn’t been a distraction, so there haven’t been any problems with it.”
“She’s a good girl,” he added. “She loves the game and obviously loves Kelce. So I’m happy for both of them.”
Taylor Swift Will Be at Super Bowl LVIII
Taylor Swift proved her dedication to Kelce by ensuring she’ll be in the crowd for today’s big game, as well. The singer has been juggling her busy career with his since September. And she had to give a somewhat last-minute performance in Japan last night. Nonetheless, she’s back in the States as we write.
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins. We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour,” The Japanese Embassy wrote in a statement. “So we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”
Internet detectives have since speculated that Swift’s private jet landed in LAX yesterday sometime. But no one has confirmed her arrival. However, Gracie Hunt, daughter of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, told PEOPLE that Taylor Swift will be at the game.
“She’s coming!” she said. “We’re excited.”
