If you are in the market for a new home, then take a look at the estate of late star Suzanne Somers and her husband, Alan Hamel. Right now, it’s priced at $9 million in Palm Springs. But what a house and additional homes on the 28 acres that are available for you.
On this property, there is one main house and four villas. Somers and Hamel reportedly lived in this space since 1977. Why did they leave? Somers and Hamel did so reluctantly just a couple of years ago. All of this area is being termed as an “iconic magical oasis.”
This space also happens to be just a few minutes away from downtown Palm Springs. You can have your pick of seven bedrooms and 11 bathroooms, too.
Suzanne Somers Estate Boasts Several Luxury Features
In an Instagram post, Compass Group Realtor Scott Lyle indicates there are some special highlights for the buyer. They include “intimate walkways,” “secret patios, and a “lagoon-style pool.”
For those interested in the great outdoors, there is an amphitheater, some hiking trails, and an old-fashioned bathtub. You have spectacular views of the desert while in the tub.
Back in 2021, Somers said that she felt compelled to sell it. Somers and Hamel listed the property for $8.5 million. In an exclusive interview with the New York Post, Somers said, “It sold because I finally let it go — emotionally, spiritually, and physically.” She added that the estate with more than 100 stairs “was not the right home anymore.”
The ‘Three’s Company’ Star Died After Brave Cancer Battle
Somers died a day before her 77th birthday last October. She put up a long battle against breast cancer before succumbing. It’s been reported that Somers and Hamel “rarely spent an hour apart in 55 years together.”
In a recent Page Six interview, Hamel says that there have been moments where he feels Somers has visited him. “Three things happened. The same day, that were very strange,” Hamel said.
For starters, “a hummingbird flew into our house and made the rounds in the kitchen, and the living room and the dining room.” Hamel said that the bird “hovered” right in front of a picture with Hamel and Somers at their breakfast nook. He said that the bird “landed on top and stayed there.”
Hamel followed that up by saying “the fireplace started all by itself.” Then, “some music came on by Suzanne’s favorite composer.” But this guy was not a known name by the public.
He adds that he feels Somers’ presence by him at the end of a day.
Three’s Company, which put Somers on the entertainment map, airs in reruns on Pluto TV along with Philo, FuboTV, and YouTubeTV. Besides Somers, the late John Ritter, Joyce De Witt, Norman Fell, and Audra Lindley were original cast members. Don Knotts, Priscilla Barnes and Jennilee Harrison also spent time on the sitcom.
