Patrick Mahomes’ Kids Decked Out in Chiefs Gear on Super Bowl Sideline

While cheering on their dad, Patrick Mahomes’ children Sterling and Patrick “Bronze” Lavon  Mahomes were seen decked out in Kansas City Chiefs gear while on the Super Bowl sideline.

NFL On CBS posted a video of the Mahomes kids with their mom, Brittany, as they watched their dad prepare for the game. This is the third Super Bowl that Mahomes has appeared in as a Kansas City Chiefs quarterback. “Brittany Mahomes on the field with the kids before the Super Bowl,” the caption reads.

Right after the adorable video, Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany shared a snapshot of their son asleep before the game started. “Boy didn’t even make kickoff,” she wrote in her Instagram Story.

Brittany previously spoke to PEOPLE about how she manages the two toddlers on game days. “My oldest daughter, she can finally kind of realize what’s going on and where she’s at,” she explained. “And she loves to watch her dad play football. She can see him from a mile away and pays attention and keeps up with what’s going on with him.”

Patrick Mahomes’ wife then said that their daughter enjoys going down to the field and getting to see the quarter before the game. “I think it’s a very special moment wherever I get to bring them to the game and they get to watch their dad play football.”

Brittany further pointed out that the kids get more excited about what’s happening on the field. “My daughter is getting a personality,” she continued. “So she is able to communicate a lot more things than she has, in the past, like how she’s feeling. Seeing her blossom into a little girl who can express her emotions, that type of stuff has been the cutest thing in the world.”

Patrick Mahomes Said He Wants to ‘Stay Out of the Way’ When It Come to His Children’s Potential Athletic Abilities

During a 2022 interview with Football in America, Patrick Mahomes stated he wants to stay out of the way of his children’s potential athletic abilities. “I think that’s the best thing for me,” he stated, per PEOPLE. “I’m going to help teach my son, my daughter all the fundamentals and whatever they want to learn. But at the same time, I want to let it be about them.”

Mahomes also revealed that’s the approach his parents had as well. “That’s what my dad did growing up, that’s what my parents did. They let it be about me, let me out there and have fun, they didn’t pressure me to do anything. I think that’s why I’m in the position I am today.”
