Ozzy Osbourne Reveals He’s ‘Practically Crippled,’ Working to Improve His Health

While music fans have been waiting patiently for Ozzy Osbourne to return on the stage, he’s been busy working on his health. This has been the primary focus of pretty much any article about him in recent years. These days, he’s working to keep on regaining his ability to walk.

In an episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy admitted he’s been going to the gym on a regular basis. He said it’s all around helping him regain his balance. He admits that he’s “practically crippled.”

While on the podcast, Ozzy’s wife Sharon Osbourne said that her husband just “looked bored.” But Ozzy says, “I’m tired.” Sharon responded, but daughter Kelly said, “Dad’s been really working out in the gym.” That led to son Jack saying, “Are you on the gains train to Swole-ville?”

Ozzy Osbourne Admits He’s Working Out ‘Every Day’

“I’ve been working out every day,” Osbourne said. “I’m trying to get back on my feet.” In November, Ozzy said that he’s only “got 10 years left” to live. He said that after his most recent back surgery left Osbourne “practically crippled.”

Osbourne expanded on his thoughts in an interview with Rolling Stone UK. Osbourne got a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis back in 2003. “It really knocked me about. The second surgery went drastically wrong,” Osbourne said. “I thought I’d be up and running after the second and third, but with the last one, they put a f—ing rod in my spine. They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to dig all that out, too.”

“It’s pretty rough, man, and my balance is all f—-d up,” Osbourne said. Ahead of this surgical procedure, Sharon Osbourne called it “a major operation” that would “determine the rest of his life.”

In November, the No More Tears singer was photographed leaving an office building in Santa Monica, California. He was in a wheelchair, dressed in a black T-shirt and sweatpants. Osbourne was seen in the wheelchair for the first time, eschewing his trusty cane.

Ozzy Stays Hopeful Despite Setbacks

When will Ozzy ever sing in public again? That might not happen. Of course, Osbourne always is hopeful that he can again get on stage and sing Paranoid or No More Tears. With his health struggles ongoing, his fans will just have to wait and see if Osbourne can perform. They can pin their hopes on reading that he’s working out regularly.

Osbourne, no matter the setbacks, remains a picture of determination. His will and ability to make the best of any situation play a role in his health and well-being.

Heading into 2024, Ozzy can look ahead and keep on pushing himself to return in grand style.
