Lisa Kudrow reportedly wants to adopt Matthew Perry’s dog, Alfred, and Friends fans are thrilled over the heartwarming gesture.
A source told The Daily Mail that Kudrow is looking forward to giving Alfred a new and loving home. Alfred’s owner, Perry, passed away on October 28th. Perry was found dead in his hot tub at his LA home on Saturday. Sources told TMZ that first responders were called to the residency for a cardiac arrest call.
Upon hearing the news that Phoebe was taking care of Chandler’s furry friend, fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to share their joy over the gesture.

Some fans have mentioned that Kudrow’s gesture is something her character on Friends, Phoebe, would have done if faced with a similar situation. The Phoebe character embodied what “I’ll be there for you” means. And Kudrow’s actions are very Phoebe-like, without a doubt.

Of all the tributes to Matthew Perry over the last hours, reports that Lisa Kudrow is to give his dog a forever home is by far my favourite. Of course Phoebe would take the dog! 🥹❤️

Fans are also happy to hear that Alfred will be going to a loving home right away. There are no concerns about what Alfred’s future holds. Alfred has undoubtedly been through a lot the past few days, too, but a new normal with Kudrow is a feel-good story that we all love to see.
Lisa Kudrow is considering adopting Matthew Perry's beloved dog Alfred. This is such a sweet gesture, and it shows how much she cared for Matthew. Alfred would be in such good hands with Lisa, and I know he would be loved and cherished. ❤️ #FriendsForever
