Less than 48 hours after Matthew Perry’s death was officially announced, there are new reports that the actor’s Friends co-star Lisa Kudrow is planning to adopt his dog, Alfred. 

A source close to Kudrow told The DailyMail that not only will she and the other Friends co-stars be attending memorial events for Perry, but she’s also planning to give Alfred a new home. The late actor adopted the pup nearly three years ago and announced the exciting news on Instagram. He even made an Instagram account for the doodle. “This is me and @alfreddoodleperry,” he wrote in the social media post. “Who’s cuter? Don’t answer that.”

The source also said Kudrow and the rest of the Friends cast are struggling with the news. “This does not seem real or fair to her or any of the gang,” the insider explained. “Because Matthew was finally at peace with himself and was having the best year of his life since his book launch almost exactly one year ago. He was enjoying his life.”

It was further noted by the source that Matthew Perry was closer than ever to his parents and was actively engaged in his sobriety. “She is baffled on what caused his death,” the source said about Kudrow. 

Source Says ‘Friends’ Casts Believes Matthew Perry May Have Died Due to His Medications Taking Effect While in His Hot Tub

Meanwhile, the source stated the Friends cast suspects that Matthew Perry may have died due to his prescription medications taking effect while he was sitting in his hot tub. 

“Although no one wants to believe it was medication – prescribed or not,” the source explained. Of course that is thought in their minds. They are thinking he must have taken something that did not mix with the warm water.”

Authorities revealed they were responding to a cardiac arrest call on Saturday (October 28th). That was when they discovered Matthew Perry in a jacuzzi at his LA-area home. It is believed the late actor may have drowned hours after a 2-hour pickleball game. Corners are currently investigating the situation and have not determined the cause of death. The autopsy is currently pending. 

Although illicit drugs were not found in Perry’s home, authorities did say that prescription medications were in the residence. It was also noted that foul play is not suspected. 

Also speaking about Matthew Perry’s final Instagram post, the insider remarked it was an interesting photo. “He loved his outdoor hub and it’s so eerie that his final post on Instagram was him along in it.”
