Keith Morrison has been a broadcast journalist for Dateline NBC since 1995. He was also the late Matthew Perry’s stepfather.
Perry wrote about how important Morrison was to him in his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. In the book, he stated that Morrison was the person who made sure their families stuck together. He was also at Perry’s side when Perry was hospitalized in 2018 with a burst colon. Perry even walked his mother down the aisle in 1981 when she married Morrison.
According to The List, on Perry’s death certificate, Morrison is listed as the “informant.” His name is the only name to receive the title. Perry is survived by both parents and five siblings, so Morrison getting the informant title showcases just how close the two were when Perry was still alive.
