Julia Roberts’ Daughter: All About Hazel Moder and Her Twin Brother Phinnaeus

Julia Roberts’ Daughter: All About Hazel Moder and Her Twin Brother Phinnaeus

Veteran actor Julia Roberts had managed to keep her daughter and two sons mostly out of the public eye as they reached adulthood. However, Julia’s daughter Hazel Moder made a red-carpet appearance with her cameraman dad, Danny Moder back in 2021. This raised the public’s curiosity over Roberts’ family.

Hazel’s 2021 public appearance was at the Cannes Film Festival. This was in support of her dad at the screening of his film, Flag Day, according to Entertainment Tonight. This marked Hazel’s debut on the red carpet.

On November 28, 2004, Julia Roberts and her husband, cameraman Danny Moder, welcomed their daughter and eldest son, Hazel Patricia and Phinnaeus Walter. The twins are now 19 years old and in college.

Julia Roberts is famously discreet when it comes to her family life. She even decided to move to New Mexico after the birth of her twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, to shield them from the intense scrutiny of Hollywood. Later on, Julia and her partner Danny welcomed their son Henry into the world in 2007.

Two years after their wedding, Julia and Danny received the news that they were going to have twins. During her pregnancy, Julia was filming Ocean’s 12 with George Clooney and reportedly traveled to Italy to stay at the actor’s Lake Como house.

It’s Uncertain what Julia Roberts’ Daughter’s Plans are After College

Julia Roberts has said in recent interviews that her daughter and eldest son are in college. However, it’s uncertain what career paths they plan to take upon graduation.

In November 2023, when the twins turned 19, Julia delighted her Instagram followers with a rare glimpse of their baby days in a heartfelt photo. The renowned star has always prioritized genuine connections with her loved ones, consciously detaching from the allure of phones and technology. One of the steadfast rules in her household is reportedly to stow away the phones, especially during meals, fostering uninterrupted quality time together.

During a 2018 interview with Oprah Winfrey for Harper’s Bazaar, Roberts expressed that her children may never fully grasp the magnitude of her fame. “When they were starting to figure it out, it was like, ‘You’re famous?’ And I said, ‘I think a lot of people might have seen the movie that I’m in or might know who I am.’ Maybe an hour goes by. ‘Are you more famous than Taylor Swift?’”, she told Winfrey at the time.
