Refusing to back down, John Stamos pushes back on recent comments his ex-girlfriend, Teri Copley, made about her not cheating on him with Tony Danza. 

As previously reported, Stamos revealed in his new memoir If You Would Have Told Me that he caught Copley in bed with the Who’s the Boss star. Stamos wrote that he hadn’t heard from Copley for a bit. So he went over to her home to check on her. However, when he arrived, he saw another car in the driveway with a strange object in it. 

“I shuffle to the car with my stomach sinking and take a quick look inside,” John Stamos explained. “There’s a hairbrush, keys, boxing gloves, and a half-unrolled poster of my girlfriend, naked, barely covered by a white sheet. Half of her butt is showing. I’ve never seen this poster before.”

The Full House star ended up looking through the window and supposedly caught Copley and Danza in the act. He then left Copley’s home heartbroken. However, in response to the story in Stamos’ book, Copley said had some thoughts. She pointed out that she and the actor had broken up before she started seeing Danza. “I wondered, ‘What was John doing there?’ Because we had broken up,” Copley told People. “He just looked at me, shook his head, and walked away.” 

Tony Danza has not commented on the allegations from Stamos or Copley’s response.

John Stamos Says Teri Copley Didn’t Tell Him They Had Broken Up Before She Started Seeing Tony Danza 

After hearing about the comments Teri Copley made about him saying she cheated on him, John Stamos shared his true thoughts about the entire situation. 

During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Stamos pushed back. “She came out yesterday or I think the day before and said we were broken up,” he told the talk show host. “And I don’t she told me that. I was busted up, man.” 

John Stamos noted that Copley cheating on him left him so brokenhearted. He decided to include his side of the ordeal in his new book to “highlight some of the relatable issues” in his life. 

He wrote in the book, “The real reason why I put that story in there was to, well, to be relatable, but also the end of the story was this: I remember walking in and I see them and was like, ‘I’m gonna kick this guy’s ass.’ Then I kind of saw his abs and I’m like, ‘I’m gonna run.’”

John Stamos and Teri Copley notably dated for a year before the confusing breakup. They met when Stamos’ makeup artist said that Copley admired him when he was on the soap opera General Hospital. He noted that there was an instant attraction between them.

“When Teri Copley and I meet for the first time for a casual date, she opens her mouth and speaks with a soft, breathless tone that makes me melt,” Stamos wrote.
