‘Good Burger’ Star Kel Mitchell Hospitalized in Los Angeles

Kel Michell, who is known for his work on Good Burger, All That, and Kenan & Kel, was reportedly rushed to the emergency room at a Los Angeles-area hospital on Tuesday (November 7th).

A source reportedly told TMZ that Mitchell was conscious when admitted and also appeared to be aware of his surroundings. Although there isn’t any information about his condition, the media outlet stated he remains in the care of the hospital’s staff. It is also still unknown exactly when he will be released.

Although he’s hospitalized, Kel Mitchell’s social media accounts appear to still be active in promoting the actor’s upcoming film Good Burger 2. However, the posts could have been scheduled prior to Mitchell’s trip to the hospital.

The comedy is the sequel to Mitchell’s 1997 film, in which he starred with long-time friend Kenan Thompson. It is set to hit theaters on November 22nd.

As previously reported, in Good Burger 2, Kel Mitchell has reprised his role as Ed and Thompson is Dex. They face a new challenge – Mega Good Burger, which has its own burger-flipping robots. Carmen Electra returns as Roxanne and All That star Lori Beth Denberg is Connie Muldoon. Others appearing in the film are Josh Server, Liza Kosher, Marsai Martin, and Kai Cenat.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell Promise ‘Surprises’ in ‘Good Burger 2’

In March of 2023, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Good Burger 2 and how they are both super excited about the upcoming sequel.

Speaking about reprising his Good Burger role, Mitchell stated it was such a blessing to be Ed again. “It’s been an amazing journey for both of us. I don’t think we thought that we would be going back and doing Good Burger at this point, which is so beautiful and it has a special place in people’s hearts.”

Kel Michell said he constantly hears people saying something about Good Burger when he’s out and about. “I mean, it’s even 5-year-olds that are doing Good Burger birthday parties, and they weren’t even born when we first did Good Burger in ’94. So this is really cool.”

In regards to what fans can expect from the new film, Mitchell said something big is coming. “We have a lot of surprises in the script that we’re excited for people to see.”

He went on to add that he and Thompson were focused on making this film fun and exciting. “We just wanted to make sure that this was a fun watch,” he declared. “For everyone who has watched us over the years.”
