‘General Hospital’ Star Tyler Christopher Dead at 50, Fans React

Tyler Christopher, best known for his time on the soap opera General Hospital, died on October 31st. He was 50 years old. The news was broken by Paula Smith, the wife of former General Hospital co-star Maurice Benard. She confirmed Christopher’s death on Instagram.

“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Tyler Christopher,” Benard wrote. “Tyler passed away this morning following a cardiac event in his San Diego apartment.”

Soon after the news broke, fans took to social media to post their memories of Christopher and send their well wishes to the family.

Christopher made a huge mark in the soap opera world as “Nikolas Cassadine,” the character he portrayed on General Hospital on and off for 20 years. Christopher would steal the hearts of many with his performance, winning various awards in the process.

Fans Wanted to See Tyler Christopher Return to ‘General Hospital’ One Day

Before his passing, some fans hoped that Christopher would return to General Hospital in some capacity in the future. He was someone that many wanted to see back on their television screens again one day.

Tyler Christopher Was a Father of Two

Back in 2008, Christopher married former ESPN reporter Brienne Pedigo. They divorced in 2021. The couple had two children, Greysun Christopher and Boheme Christopher.

Christopher was also previously married between 2002-04 to Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.
