‘Friends’ Star Courteney Cox Puts Turkey on Head For Old-Time Sakes

‘Friends’ Star Courteney Cox Puts Turkey on Head For Old-Time Sakes

Honoring a special Friends Thanksgiving episode throwback, Courteney Cox reposted a hilarious video of her rocking a real turkey on her head.

“Flashback to 3 years ago…” Cox captioned the post. “Probably won’t do this again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!”

In the video, Courteney Cox wished everyone a happy Turkey Day in her own special way. “I’m feeling so thankful,” she began. “And also, if I get one more *beep* gif with a turkey on my head dancing like a *beep* fool.”

She interrupted the video with a gif of her as Friends character Monica Geller dancing with a Turkey on her head. “I’m just going to snap,” she continued. “So… anyway, since I’m the symbol of Thanksgiving, here ya go. Hope it makes you happy.”

Courteney Cox then showed off her dance moves while dancing with the intact turkey on her dance (featuring sunglasses). The hilarious video references Friends season 5, episode 8, titled The One With All The Thanksgivings. In the episode, Monica wore the turkey head to help apologize to Chandler (Matthew Perry) after the Friends characters discussed their least favorite Thanksgivings. Chandler discovered that Monica accidentally cut off one of his toes while trying to exact revenge on him for calling her fat.

As Cox’s Monica was dancing with a turkey on her head, Perry’s Chandler declared, “I love you” to her for the first time since they secretly started dating.

Courteney Cox’s Throw Back Thanksgiving Video Comes Nearly a Month After Matthew Perry’s Death

The reposting of the hilarious Thanksgiving video comes nearly a month after Matthew Perry suddenly passed away. The actor died on Oct. 28 in the jacuzzi of his LA-area home. Authorities say he died from an apparent drowning. However, the actor’s autopsy is awaiting toxicology results before the official death can be declared.

Days following Perry’s death, Courteney Cox took to her Instagram to pay tribute to her Friends co-star. “I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, here’s one of my favorites.”

In a post, Cox shared a video of her and Perry’s bloopers of their characters, Monica and Chandler, being in bed together while in London for the wedding of David Schwimmer’s Ross. “To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one-night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind,” Cox stated.
