Clint Eastwood has worked in different genres throughout his vast film career, but none other evokes his passion like a Western. TV viewers first set their eyes on Eastwood playing “Rowdy” Yates on Rawhide. Then, Eastwood built upon that by playing the “Man with No Name” in Sergio Leone’s “Spaghetti Westerns.”
This early TV and film work helped set the table for Eastwood’s future in films. His work has brought people to box offices all over the world. While a man his age probably should slow down, that doesn’t look like it’s in the cards for Eastwood.
Now, how old do you think the man who brought “Dirty Harry” Callahan to life is right now? He’s 93 years old and doesn’t have too much time to talk about it. In late November, Eastwood was photographed working on his next movie, Juror No. 2.
Clint Eastwood Hard At Work On ‘Juror No. 2’
People reports that the new Eastwood movie will star Nicholas Hault and Toni Collete. The Hollywood Reporter says that the synopsis is “about a juror in a murder trial (Hoult) who struggles with a moral dilemma.” It’s this dilemma that can turn the trial into a circus.
Eastwood has enough movie credibility under his belt, thanks to his creative spirit. Among Eastwood’s directorial movies are the Oscar-winning Unforgiven, Cry Macho, Million Dollar Baby, American Sniper, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Space Cowboys, and High Plains Drifter.
With his work behind the camera right now, the question becomes is he going to act again? That is something his fans will have to sit around and wait out. But Eastwood always is up for a challenge. So, I would not hold it against him if he wanted to make a cameo or a brief character appearance. After all, if Alfred Hitchcock could do it and get away with it, then so can Eastwood.
Eastwood Keeps His Eyes On Interesting Guys To Play
All you have to do to see Eastwood play in a movie and direct it is in 2021 with Cry Macho. In an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment, Eastwood reflects on his age. “I don’t look like I did at 20, so what?” Eastwood said. “That just means there are more interesting guys you can play.”
He even wonders about working into his 90s.
“What the hell am I still working for in my 90s?” Eastwood stated. “Are people going to start throwing tomatoes at you? I’ve gotten to the point where I wondered if that was enough, but not to the point where I decided it was. If you roll out a few turkeys, they’ll tell you soon enough.”
Eastwood’s glint in his eyes, steely chin, and still rugged looks are evident to this very day. Still, the fact that he’s 93 years old and still able to enjoy each day speaks volumes about his health. For his part, Eastwood can stay involved in movies for as long as he wants to do so.
