Brigitte Nielsen Seemingly Throws Shade At Ex-Husband Sylvester Stallone During Recent Interview

More than 30 years after her split from Sylvester Stallone, Brigitte Nielsen seemingly throws shade at her famous ex during a recent interview.

While speaking to People, Nielsen revealed that her marriage to Stallone from 1985 to 1987 was so long ago that she never thinks about him. “Sometimes it feels like it never even happened,” she explained.

The actress further explained her not thinking about the Rocky star is not necessarily a dig, but rather the relationship was another lifetime ago.  “I have no idea what that guy is up to,” she continued. “you move on, you know? You’re so busy doing other things that it can be like, ‘Wait, what was his name again?’”

The media outlet further reported that Sylvester Stallone and Brigitte Nielsen first got together while working on Cobra and Rocky IV. They got engaged during the production of Rocky IV. They briefly reunited during Neilsen’s appearance in 2018’s Creed.

A decade after his split from Nielsen, Stallone married Jennifer Flavin. The couple has three daughters together. Nielsen was married to Sebastian Copeland from 1990 to 1992 and Raoul Meyer from 1993 to 2005. She has been with her fifth husband, Mattia Dessi since 2006. She gave birth to her and Dessi’s daughter, Frida, in June 2018 when she was 54 years old.

Sylvester Stallone Once Admitted He Had a ‘Temporary Form of Insanity’ During His Relationship with Brigitte Nielsen

In 2012, Sylvester Stallone opened up about his marriage to Brigitte Nielsen. He said he felt like he was having an “out-of-body experience” during the union.

The reason why he spoke about the marriage was due to Nielsen’s appearance on Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew in 2008. Stallone and his now-wife Jennifer Flavin watched his ex-wife talk about their marriage on the show.

“I thought I was watching an old home movie,” Sylvester Stallone recalled. “I sat on the sofa with Jennifer and of course, she paused it and said, ‘What were you thinking?’ I go, ‘I wasn’t. It was an out-of-body experience. I’ve concluded that love is a temporary form of insanity and we should cut each other some slack.’”

Stallone further pointed out that he considered his life 10 percent on target and 90 percent mistakes. “But those 10 percent counted,” he continued.

Although he admitted his past mistakes, the Rocky star has no regrets and is happy with the life he shares with Flavin and their three daughters. “I’ve never had more fun. I learned that from my wife. I never did learn it from any other relationship. In fact, just the opposite. It took me 19 years to realize she’s always right.”
