Veterans Day 2023: Where to Find Free Meals and Discounts

For Veterans Day 2023, restaurants and businesses in the U.S. honor veterans and active-duty military with free meals, deals, and discounts. The federal holiday on November 11th commemorates the end of World War I, marked by the signing of an armistice agreement between the Allies and Germany. Fighting ceased at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. Veterans Day honors all military personnel, past and present.

According to USA Today, discounts typically require proof of service, such as a veteran, military, or military-dependent ID. Certain offers may be restricted to dine-in guests. Free Food on Veterans Day 2023 for Those Who Served

On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Texas Roadhouse is honoring veterans and active military personnel with a complimentary lunch. You can choose from a selection of 10 meal options, including a 6-ounce sirloin with two sides and a beverage of your choice. Proof of service, such as a military or VA card, or discharge papers, will be required.

Also today, Applebee’s is giving veterans, active-duty military, National Guard, and reserves a complimentary entrée for dining in. The Veterans Day menu offers a range of options on their website. Veterans and military personnel will also receive a $5 Bounce Back Card for dine-in, to-go, or delivery. This is redeemable within three weeks.

Outback Steakhouse is offering free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage to active and retired military personnel with the purchase of an adult entree in-restaurant today. Veterans also receive a free $10 bonus to redeem from November 12th to December 17th.

At Buffalo Wild Wings, veterans and active-duty military with valid ID receive a complimentary order of 10 boneless wings and fries on Saturday. The offer is for dine-in only. However, at Buffalo Wild Wings Go locations, simply walk in and order at the counter.

Discounts for Those Who Served This Veterans Day 2023

Office Depot and OfficeMax provide a generous discount for military personnel and their families. From Saturday to Monday, veterans, active-duty, retired military, reservists, and their dependents can enjoy a 25% discount on qualifying purchases. Veterans also receive a 20% in-store discount on regularly priced items year-round.

Lowe’s provides a free collectible pin today to the first 150 veteran customers at each store. They offer a 10% military discount on eligible purchases for active-duty and veteran military service members and their families, with no annual limit. Additionally, Lowe’s has dedicated parking spots for veterans at each store.
