Picture it: Miami, 2023… After debuting in Los Angeles last summer, the Golden Girls pop-up restaurant has finally made its way home to the Sunshine State!
As of now, the restaurant’s tour locations remain extremely limited, with stops including major cities like New York and Chicago. But it wouldn’t be a true Golden Girls tribute without a stop in Miami.
The beloved ’80s sitcom aired its final episode in the spring of 1992, but fans of the Golden Quartet can take a step back in time with a visit to the pop-up restaurant, which includes a replica of Blanche’s iconic kitchen and plenty of cheesecake!

A Wynwood warehouse received a major makeover to make any Golden Girls fan’s cheesecake-filled dreams come to life. Along with the Formica-countered kitchen (complete with copper mold decor), the restaurant features a replica of Blanche’s bedroom and all the photo ops with Golden Girls memorabilia you could ask for.
‘The Golden Girls’ Restaurant Offers Plenty of Cheesecake
The menu features a number of Golden Girls-themed dishes, including Sophia’s lasagna, Rusty Anchor omelet sandwiches, Rose’s famous cheeseballs, and, of course, a variety of cheesecakes. On top of the regular event, the restaurant is hosting an entire calendar of pop-up events. These include Sunday brunches and 80s night on Saturdays complete with Golden Girls-themed cocktails (for those 21+).

With the $34 admission fee, visitors receive a 90-minute reservation at one of the restaurant’s tables (which can be booked for up to 6 people). A main dish and cheesecake are included in the reservation, with additional sides, desserts, beverages, and merch available for purchase.
The experience opened on November 10 and will remain in Miami until December 31st.
Betty White Would No Doubt Be Thrilled by Series’ Enduring Popularity
All four Golden Girls stars were beloved by all during the show’s original run and continue to be held in high regard to this day. None, however, are quite as celebrated as Betty White. The actress passed away peacefully on New Year’s Eve 2021, just a few days shy of her 100th birthday. Though her passing came before the inception of the Golden Girls pop-up restaurant, the TV legend would no doubt be tickled pink by it. Betty White spoke fondly of her time on The Golden Girls many times in the decades after the finale.
“It started the first day of the first read-through for the pilot,” White recalled, per Us Weekly. “We showed up for the read-through [and] it was like batting a tennis ball over the net. It was so exciting to be with four people with that chemistry. I’ll never forget that first read. It was like we had been working together forever. I still get goose bumps thinking about it.”
Just like on the show, Betty White and her castmates shared endless jokes and laughs behind the scenes. “We had such fun together,” she added. “It was such a special experience.”
