People Can’t Stop Talking About Al Roker’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Suit

NBC weatherman Al Roker made a triumphant return to the network’s coverage of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. While many Americans watched from their home in comfortable clothing, Roker looked pretty snazzy. In fact, his dapper look drew plenty of comments from the world of social media.

It’s cool to see Roker back on the sidelines. He has had his fair share of physical ailments in recent years. But Roker did not look in ill health at all. He looked refreshed and ready to tackle all of his assignments on Thursday morning.

But what about that suit? It looks like it was the star of the show for a bit. One person wrote, “Al Roker dressed as an old gay pimp.” Some people might not dig his suits. But there’s no doubt Roker is pleased as punch to be sharing all of the parade details with the viewers.

This viewer wrote, “I don’t use the word “fly” as an adjective because it just doesn’t sound right coming out of my mouth, but there is no other word for Al Roker’s outfit this morning.”

Meanwhile, this Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade viewer had an interesting take on Roker’s look. “Al Roker lookin like a g******* snack this morning,” the person wrote. Here’s another one, giving the weatherman his props for his clothes choice: “Al Roker’s fit for the #MacysParade is clean.”

In the immortal words of pro wrestler Ric Flair, it appears that Roker was “stylin’ and profilin’” for the home faithful watching across America. This viewer said, “Al Roker in that pumpkin spice blazer with the hat looking like The Pimp Who Thanksgiving is speaking to my soul right now.” But this fan was definitely all about the cool suit Roker was wearing. “Al Roker’s Thanksgiving feels wrapped into a velvet jacket…so fab” the person wrote.

While Roker spent time out on the street talking with people, he also found time to sit up in the NBC broadcast booth. Up there, Roker shared time with Today co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie. Most fans online were happy to see Roker return to his Thanksgiving Day workload. Some did wish that Roker was not a part of the broadcast this year.

NBC aired segments from Macy’s parade throughout its Thursday morning Today show.
