Usher, Janet Jackson, and the Backstreet Boys headline a power-packed lineup for the 2024 Lovers & Friends Festival, set for May 4. The festival also features the Backstreet Boys and many other acts.
Fans going to the festival can get ready for a lot of musical firepower to hit the stage. Among the other ones signed up to appear include Gwen Stefani, Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Nelly Furtado, Ciara, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Nelly, and TLC. The festival will take place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds.
Looking to make some plans? Make sure to bookmark LoversAndFriendsFest.com. Signing up for the festival’s SMS list makes sure that you are down for presale news. Tickets will be available on presale on Friday at noon Eastern, 11 a.m. Central, Good Morning America reports.
We’re told that if any tickets remain after presale, a general sale will happen for them.
Lil Wayne Plans To Perform Entire Album
Lil Wayne also is part of the lineup. He’s going to follow Usher’s idea and sing a whole set list off of his album, Tha Carter 3. It appears that Lil Wayne has worked on practicing and remembering these songs. Last year, Lil Wayne commented that he could not remember his music due to memory loss.
This festival kicked off in 2022 and had acts like Usher, Ludacris, Lauryn Hill, and Lil Jon showing up. Reportedly, that year’s show was interrupted when fans stampeded out of the festival grounds. They left after hearing gunshots, causing mass panic. Last year’s festival, though, was all good and safe.
Janet Jackson hasn’t let people know what she will be performing. But she has a full song library from which to select. Among her albums are Dream Street, The Velvet Rope, Damita Jo, Discipline, and Unbreakable. She’s racked up quite several top hits. She’s scored 16 Hot R&B No. 1 singles and 10 Hot 100 No. 1 singles, too. Jackson’s stage show always is filled with lots of dancing and movement. She knows how to entertain her fans after all these years.
The Backstreet Boys are made up of AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, and Howie Dorough. Fans around the world have contributed to their success. The group has sold more than 100 million records worldwide. This makes the Backstreet Boys the most successful boy band of all time. Their albums Backstreet Boys and Millenium have reached diamond status in sales.
Snoop Dogg Brings His Own Style of Music
Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg will bring his own style of rap and music to the festival. His career not only spans into music, but Snoop also is a businessman and sports fan. Yet he’s all business when it comes to his own style of music. Among his album releases are The Doggfather, Doggumentary, Neva Left, Bible of Love, and From tha Streets 2 that Suites.
Gwen Stefani has quite a resume’ for her work. Of course, Stefani was one of the architects behind the creation of No Doubt. Her hits with that group include Just a Girl and Don’t Speak. But Stefani also has developed quite a solo career for herself. One of her first big hits as a solo artist was Hollaback Girl. It reached up to No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Stefani has won three Grammy Awards. These days, besides her music, Stefani also gets attention for her marriage to country music superstar Blake Shelton.
In addition, Alicia Keys also will take the stage. Between her first two albums, Keys won nine Grammy Awards. She’s sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Keys also was the first performer to have an album from an MTV Unplugged special debut at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
