When you are in a car that has a karaoke machine with one of your songs on it, you better believe Toby Keith will sing it. Keith gets captured in this pretty humorous video of him sitting in the backseat of an Uber ride. It’s not every day that Keith and a karaoke machine are in the same place.

Well, Keith picked up the microphone while another passenger caught him on video. Keith is singing along with his song Courtesy of the Red, White And Blue (The Angry American). He’s in perfect pitch with the music that accompanies his lyrics.

One might imagine it being a tough task to sing your song with a karaoke-style melody. Anyone who has tried to sing at karaoke bars knows that an original song isn’t usually played. Some companies have put the music to a similar-yet-different style.

It probably wasn’t Keith’s music backing him here. So, it offers a little bit of a challenge to sing along with the music.

Toby Keith Enjoys His Karaoke Break

Keith, though, comes off looking like a trooper. He’s even smiling here a little bit as he sings his song, which references the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Fans have been mourning Keith’s death. News broke on Tuesday morning that Keith, 62, died on Monday night. He’d been battling stomach cancer for close to two years. Keith received his diagnosis sometime in 2021 but didn’t go public with it until 2022.

Many of Keith’s fans found their way to this video, which was among Fox News’ reels on Instagram. They shared their innermost thoughts about the country music legend. Some offered up instances where they had a chance to meet Keith. His fans are a loyal bunch, loving everything he put out throughout his multi-year career.

One fan wrote in the comments, “A genuine patriot who made good music and who stayed down to earth his whole life. That’s rare. Enjoy heaven brother!” Another shared their experience meeting Keith while the person was in the military. “RIP. I remember him visiting us back when I was deployed in Afghanistan. I asked him for a picture and he said why are you asking me, come on in here soldier! He was so nice, down to earth and definitely will be missed”.

Keith Fan Salutes His Patriotism

This fan noted Keith’s patriotism and how much it meant to her. “A true patriot and legend. He is one of a kind. Saying he will be greatly missed is an understatement”. And this Keith fan remembered the country music legend along with the Mayor of Margaritaville, Jimmy Buffett. Most fans know that Keith and Buffett were good friends.

“Country legend and icon it’s so sad to see him gone. Rest easy in Margaritaville with Jimmy Buffet. Another legend and icon rest in peace to Toby and Jimmy,” the fan wrote.

Keith was born in Oklahoma, lived a few years as a kid in Arkansas, then moved back to Oklahoma. He loved to play golf, was a big fan of Oklahoma Sooner sports, and supported kids’ sports teams. Keith’s music found a home multiple times in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Country charts. Other songs reached Top 20 status, too. He was a prolific songwriter, putting out many albums over the years.

Keith last performed in December 2023 at a concert in Las Vegas. He proved to be a fighter until the very end. Keith’s music and memories will not be forgotten.
