Chris Hemsworth, the star of Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, has unveiled an epic new poster for the highly anticipated prequel. The Thor star took to social media to drop the official poster.
The Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga poster features the film’s headlining duo, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Hemsworth. It also skillfully hints at enigmatic characters. In the right corner, a younger Immortan Joe can be seen. As a prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, this poster also pays tribute with its call-back color scheme.

In the upcoming Mad Max prequel, Hemsworth, widely known for his role as the heroic Thor, will portray a strikingly different character. Hemsworth has hinted at the distinctive nature of filming this action-packed movie compared to his previous cinematic experiences. After unveiling its first trailer recently, the latest in the Mad Max series is poised to be just as grand as the previous installment.
Audiences have already seen the remarkable achievements of Mad Max mastermind George Miller’s filmmaking in the past. For instance, the unforgettable masterpiece Mad Max: Fury Road from 2015, widely regarded as one of the greatest action films of all time. This cinematic gem earned well-deserved Oscar nominations for its direction, mesmerizing cinematography, impeccable sound editing, and everything else in between.
Of course, “Fury Road” was a daring venture, arriving long after the hype surrounding the “Mad Max” series had faded. The previous installment before Fury Road was 1985’s Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. The production of “Fury Road” was plagued by a demanding and arduous shoot. Reportedly, there were tensions between the lead actors, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron. This added to the challenging nature of the project. Miller has directed all five installments of the franchise since Mel Gibson’s first outing as Max in 1979’s Mad Max.
The upcoming film is set 15 years prior to the events of Mad Max: Fury Road. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga revolves around the resilient Furiosa (Anya Taylor-Joy) as she battles for her survival. Hemsworth takes on the role of Dementus, the antagonist who introduces Furiosa to a brutal and chaotic world of violence.
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is set to hit theaters in the United States on May 24th.
