‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Official Movie Poster Revealed

‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Official Movie Poster Revealed

For all of you Eddie Murphy fans out there, here’s the first poster that’s out for Beverly Hills Cop 4 which will pop in 2024. But the official title appears to be Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. And there’s additional news, too. The film’s trailer will be coming out on Thursday.

In November, Netflix released the first photo from the movie for fans to see. It shows Murphy all dressed up like Foley and looking in the direction of two police officers. Murphy, or Foley, we should say, appears to have his hands up as well.

It’s been a stretch since the Detroit-savvy detective has been on movie screens. Foley will see a bunch of things different from Detroit, that’s for sure. “Detroit is a much different city than Los Angeles and especially Beverly Hills,” producer Jerry Bruckheimer said. “He still has the same kind of wonderment at the things you see walking down Rodeo Drive.”

‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ Involves Foley Family Member

But in this adventure, Foley gets involved in a case after his daughter has her life threatened. This time, we see Foley work on this case with a new partner in Detective Abbott, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Oh yeah, his buddies Billy Rosewood, played by Judge Reinhold, and Taggart, played by John Ahston, help work it to dispel this conspiracy.

If you keep your eyes peeled on the TV screen, then you will see some more familiar faces popping up for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. Paul Reiser will come back as Jeffrey Friedman. Bronson Pinchot also will reappear as Serge.

Keep also looking for Kevin Bacon to appear as well. In this movie, he’ll be playing Captain Cade Grant. Another newcomer will be Taylour Paige, who will play Foley’s daughter Jane.

Eddie Murphy’s Talent On Full Display In Movie

Of course, the star of this movie is Murphy. What can we expect from him, even with a very familiar character to play? Mark Molloy, director of this movie, told Tudum, “Eddie’s such an incredible artist. He can do drama, he can do comedy – he can do anything. And he’s the same Axel Foley. He’s still on the streets. He’s still doing what he does. Obviously, with age, you get wiser. But he still has the twinkle in his eye.”

Murphy brings all his talent and experience into this role. Of course, he’s been in other movies like Trading Places and Coming to America in his career. So, when looking at Murphy and Foley, are there any intangibles involved while the movie is in production?

“Some of the funniest moments in Axel F are when Eddie’s improvising,” Mulloy said. “For me, a big part of my job was to create the right environment, cast the right people around Eddie to allow him to do what he does best.”

This movie is scheduled to come out in the summer of 2024. That would mean it’d be 40 years since the original Beverly Hills Cop hit movie theaters.
