Beetlejuice 2 Art Reunites Michael Keaton & Winona Ryder 35 Years Later

Beetlejuice 2 Art Reunites Michael Keaton & Winona Ryder 35 Years Later

Beetlejuice 2 is in the works, and according to new art, lead stars Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder’s characters could look shockingly the same 35 years after their initial debut.

With the help of AI, the Instagram account @dejaview.tv revealed what the characters may look like. Pictures show Keaton, who played the title character, donning his same stripped attire. He aged appropriately, despite already being dead. His hair, is long and green, and his face is painted with the same white coloring and black-rimmed eyes.

Ryder’s Lydia looks like she grew up keeping her same grim and gothic appearance. She wears oversized, baggy blood-red clothing, her hair is long, dark, and slightly unkept, and her pale skin shows that she doesn’t often leave her home during the daylight.

The account also highlights what the other creatures living in the Netherworld realm would look like. They, of course, seem to have come straight out of the original creator, Tim Burton’s, mind.

‘Beetlejuice 2’ Coming to Theaters Next September

The first movie hit theaters in 1988. It tells the story of the Maitlands, a happy couple that dies in a tragic car accident and then finds their ghosts trapped in their home. Colorful new owners move in shortly after, and they try to scare them away. When they fail to haunt the house effectively, they meet a chaotic ghoul named Betelgeuse, pronounced “Beetlejuice,” who tries to trick them into helping him escape an unpleasant eternity by offering to help.

Beetlejuice 2 is predicted to be released on September 6, 2024. It will star Keaton and Ryder in their original roles. Catherine O’Hara will also reprise her character. New stars include Jenna Ortega, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, and Willem Dafoe.

The plot of the sequel has been kept under wraps. Tim Burton will once again direct, but he hasn’t revealed why Beetlejuice returns. Cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos did reveal that the goofy ghost will continue to don with signature suit shown above. The character will also be married, but not to Lydia, as he had hoped in the original film. Instead, he’ll be married to Belluci.
